#74 - Revised MV-82 to be Implemented Immediately

Effective October 9, 2019, the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles will implement changes required by new legislation pertaining to altered vehicles.

The Vehicle Registration/Title Application (MV-82) has been revised primarily to add new questions required by this legislation. A new Vehicle Registration/Title Application for Dealer Sales (MV-82DEAL) has been created to provide to the DMV relevant information about altered vehicles sold through a dealership.

Effective October 9, 2019, all dealers MUST use the MV-82DEAL (print date 10/19).

You should destroy any remaining stock of ALL prior versions of the MV-82.
