Gov. Cuomo Extends PAUSE-NY Order

Gov. Andrew Cuomo said today that New York’s economy will remain on pause for another month. He declined to speculate as to whether he would extend his Executive Order beyond that date. Last month, Gov. Cuomo issued an executive order that shut down the state’s non-essential businesses and required all but New York’s essential employees to work from home.

The Governor announced the extension of his PAUSE (Policies Assure Uniform Safety for Everyone) order at his daily press conference yesterday in Albany.  Mr. Cuomo reiterated that the state had to get the COVID-19 transmission rate under control before taking significant steps toward reopening the economy.

The Governor said that we would reevaluate the policy before it expires on May 15th.
