Governor Issues New Executive Order Business Closures do NOT Include Dealerships

This morning, Governor Cuomo issued new business restrictions according to the type of business. Some of the restrictions include limited hours of operation, closures, and limiting the size of public gatherings.

These restrictions do NOT affect new car dealer operations. The Governor has NOT issued an order to close franchised new car dealerships. Today, during his press conference he announced his Executive Order to close only bars, movie theaters, gyms, and restaurants. The closings were made in conjunction with the New Jersey and Connecticut Governors.

The Governor has advised, but not yet mandated that non-essential businesses (everything except grocery stores, gas stations, and pharmacies) close between 8:00 pm and 5:00 am every day.

GNYADA is following the Governor’s orders very carefully and will let dealers know if any changes to their business practices are required.
