New York Updates COVID Guidance - Shorter Isolation Time for ALL Dealership Employees

New York State announced that it has adopted the latest CDC Guidance, Shortening Isolation and Quarantine Period for ALL dealership staff who either test positive or are exposed to COVID-19.

 
If an employee TEST POSITIVE for COVID-19, regardless of vaccination status:

  • Stay home for 5 days.

  • If they have no symptoms or their symptoms are resolving after 5 days, they can return to work.

  • They must continue to wear a mask around others for 5 additional days.

If an employee is EXPOSED to COVID-19:

  1. If they are boosted, had the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine within the last 6 months, or had the J&J vaccine within the last 2 months:

    • Wear a mask around others for 10 days.

    • Test on day 5, if possible.

  2. If they are unvaccinated, had the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine over 6 months ago and are not boosted, or had the J&J vaccine over 2 months ago and are not boosted:

    • Stay home for 5 days and continue to wear a mask around others for 5 additional days.

    • Test on day 5 if possible.
