Paid Time Off for COVID Vaccinations Extended
/ New York extended its mandatory paid COVID-19 vaccine leave requirements to December 31, 2023.
Dealers will have to continue to provide employees with up to four hours of paid leave per COVID-19 vaccination dose, including booster shots.
Leave must be paid at the employee’s regular rate of pay and cannot be charged against existing accrued leave time.
Vaccination for Children:
New York City dealers must also provide up to 4 hours of COVID-19 vaccination pay:
per vaccination for a child
to accompanying a child to their COVID-19 vaccine
to care a child who cannot attend school or childcare due to temporary side effects from a COVID-19 injection
This NYC law is set to expire on December 31, 2022.
