Gov Hochul Issues New Mask Mandate

Governor Hochul issued an order earlier today that requires everyone who is not fully vaccinated to wear a face covering at all indoor facilities. The statewide order will be in effect starting Monday, December 13 through January 15 – unless extended further.

According to the Governor’s press release, anyone, including employees and customers, entering the dealership who is not vaccinated must wear a facemask. If you do not have a vaccination screening policy (checking for proof of vaccination at all entrances) everyone must wear a facemask.

The Governor’s order is in response to the growing number of coronavirus cases and hospitalizations as the Omicron and Delta variants spread. To view the Governor’s press release, click here.

Dealers should also post signs at all entrances to the facility stating your facemask policy.

Dealers could face fines of up to $1,000 per violation.
