NYS Mask Mandate Extended to February 10th
/The New York State mask mandate was set to expire on February 1st, but today Governor Hochul extended it until February 10th.
In early December 2021, Governor Hochul instituted a mask mandate requiring everyone to wear a face covering in all indoor public spaces—including dealerships, or limit entry only to individuals that are fully vaccinated.
Dealers must have a policy requiring that everyone who enters the dealership is either fully vaccinated or is wearing a mask. Regardless of which option a dealer chooses, it is imperative that staff be trained on the policy and have an individual(s) at the dealership designated to be responsible for making sure everyone is in compliance with the policy and that the policy is enforced.
Dealers need to post a sign reminding anyone who enters the dealership that masks are required. You can find the poster by clicking here.
